"I first picked up a camera in the mid-1970s while in high school. It all seems so long ago now. I became interested in photography because my brothers were on the basketball and track teams in high school. I was, at the time, only familiar with the Kodak disposable 35mm camera which was great because the photos were inexpensive to develop. However, fate had other ideas and I ended up traveling with my husband and family in the military for the next 20 years, rarely picking up a camera except to document family and vacations. But, internally, I still knew my destiny.

"I have been working in environments I truly love photographing: people, landscapes, nature, etc. I have started self-publishing my photographs on greeting cards through my company SavagePhotos4U.

"I embrace new technologies that allow me to achieve the impossible.

"I try to work with people I respect because it will improve the integrity and quality of my work!

"In today's world, we're in such a hurry; looking only straight ahead. I want to make photographs which cause the viewer to pause, even for a moment, and realize all the remarkable events in our world, awaiting discovery. I am exploring the use of panorama and underwater photography. Photography is a mechanical art; what you do beyond shooting the picture is personal expression.

"Photography can be a life-enhancing skill. Photography lets me see and feel a part of the environment, whether a mountain or a tiny wildflower. Photography dominates every waking moment of my existence; if I am not creating images, I am reading or viewing every image I can find. My insatiable appetite for the best shot has me constantly on the go shooting!"
