As ladies found their way to the Pavillion room, they were given Cindy’s very thoughtful and complete questionnaire on possible future WIF meetings/shows/activities and other input for the betterment of our organization.  Before Gittel officially started the meeting, people began filling out the questionnaire.  More on the questionnaire later in the minutes.

Debra Booth - Awarded 1st and 2nd Places at the RPS Open Juried Show (see details above), in the categories of Travel and Architecture.
Denise Savage sold a picture out of the Westin’s Paint in the Pods show!

Westin Paint in the Pods:
The show was discussed, and it was concluded that it was awfully dark, and there wasn’t enough food, but other than that....  Gittel reported that Daniel told her that they weren’t going to do shows up there anymore, because the hotel didn’t want to continue paying Pennhouse Productions and Suzanne to organize them.  Oh well.
Pick up your work Sunday, November 30, any time.  You must go up to get your pieces off the wall.  Gittel suggested around sunset for good shooting, if you want to take some time.  Parking could be possibly be negotiated with the Valets, park in the driveway and run up for a couple of bucks, if you’re going to be quick.

MOCA GA 7th Annual Off-the-Wall Pin Up Show and Sale:
One may pin up one unframed, unmatted print for sale (up to$500).  Pictures must be pinned up at MOCA on Wednesday, November 19, and the sale/party is on November 20, with snacks and a DJ.  100% of sale goes to the artist.  The price to pin up a picture is membership at MOCA GA, which is normally $25, but now through the 19th, only $20.

2009 WIF Board Members:
With no further nominations, the slate of nominees were elected after a motion was made and seconded that the nominees should be approved.  The WIF Board for 2009 are:  Gittel Price - President, Lorikay Stone and Anupama Vishwamitra - Vice-Presidents, Joanne Green - Treasurer, and Denise Savage and Valerie Gruner - Secretaries.
A Board Meeting will be held Wednesday, November 19, at 7:00 at the Starbucks on Peachtree, one which outgoing and incoming board members are to attend.

Questionnaire:
Cindy’s thorough questionnaire was applauded for its thoughtfulness and scope.  If anyone did not finish filling out theirs, they can send the completed form to Cindy.  She will also be sending the questionnaire out in an e-mail for those not at the meeting.  Since it is easier to send out an e-mail to everyone, Cindy asks that you ignore the questionnaire e-mail if you’ve already completed it.  Much thanks to Cindy for her work.

Accountant:
An accountant is needed to wade through our financial records for tax purposes so that we are in compliance and up to date for our applied-for tax exempt status.  The membership voted to approve the expense and give Gittel the go-ahead to hire an accountant for the odious task.

Digital Arts Trunk Show:
Prints, in plastic with a backing board and a card with artist info and price, can be dropped off at Digital Arts November 22-26 for sale through December.  100% of the sale goes to the artist.  Make an inventory list, one copy for DA and one copy for your records.  One may have about 20 prints, and if you have a bin you can loan to the sale, that would be great.  E-mail Gittel if you plan on participating.  As always, the amazing Gittel will be e-mailing us with reminding details.

Holiday Party and Print Swap at Loikay’s Loft:
It’s a go for Wednesday, December 10, 7:00 pm, to hold our Holiday Party and Print Swap at Lorikay’s newly acquired loft studio.  Lorikay is making contact and will hire a caterer, who will work within our sponsor-donated budget.  He will be instructed to include vegetarian fare.  The caterer will only be doing food, so BYOB, ladies.  Lorikay will be sending out an e-vite for RSVP’s and thorough directions.  Until then, the address is 659 Auburn Ave. #205.  Park in the back, walk into the green space, go up the first set of stairs, and the loft is the first door on the left.
The party is for members only, so no guests, no spouses, and I assume, no pets.
Bring a print to swap in an opaque 9x12 envelope, so that we may all add to our collections of outstanding photography.
