Entries are due for our WIF XV Exhibit at our August 13, 2008 meeting our 8x 10’s are due for Fay Gold. to judge in a 9 x 12 envelope without your name on it. You will receive a Letter to mark on the envelope at the meeting.
Georgia Lawyers for the Arts was called by Gittel and they need the By-Laws.
Once GLA receives the By-Laws, then WIF will be assigned a 501C3 lawyer. It usually takes an attorney about a month before the assignment is completed.
Flying Colors – Chattahoochee Nature Center Juried Exhibit(June __4th____2008). BUTTERFLIES, DRAGONFLIES, AND OTHER POLLINATORS SHOW. 1st prize ($200), 2nd prize ($150), 3rd prize ($75prize ($50). The WIF members pinned up their photos with Pic Tacs from Alicia Kay Gelfond-Holtz. The Pic Tacs are used as party tacs, mat tacs, sling tacs—use a sharpie to color tacs. The Pic Tacs are $4.95 for a dozen and $.05 is donated to a horse rescue. She has a business called The Freedom to go Frameless. Once the critiquing was over by the WIF members, Alicia gave the Pic Tacs to the WIF members to keep. Solo Exhibit – Lorikay at the Studio Plex – Two days only: June 14 (6-10 pm) & June 15 (1-7 pm), 659 Auburn Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia.
Decatur Arts Festival – Cindy Michaels and Shiela Robinette participating in painting and photography exhibit at Dalton Gallery, Agnes Scott College. Opening on May 20, 2008, between 6 & 7 p.m. Show is up through June 1.

Photographers donating work for charity auctions should be sure they get 25% of the sale price, not their suggested value.

Your camera or memory card should not be confiscated by anyone. However, if you are on Indian land they can.

WIF – Members who haven’t posted their gallery of photos on the website, please send your images on disc to Jon Slate at 6781 Lamplighter Lane, Winston, Georgia 30187. Please read the rules on the website and get instructions. Please pay $25 to Cindy to post your photos. If members want to change their photos or any maintenance needs to be done the cost is $15.
August meeting Mark Alberhasky will be there to help you choose your six pieces to enter in WIF XV.
