Henri Cartier-Bresson, The Modern Century, High Museum of Art
This first full retrospective in the U.S. in 30 years showcases Cartier-Bresson's inventive work of the early 1930s that helped define the creative potential of modern photography and his uncanny ability to capture life on the run. Following an exquisite presentation of the best of his early work, the exhibition will be organized into a series of distinct sections. The exhibition is organized by MoMA, where it debuted in the Spring of 2010. From Atlanta, the exhibit has traveled to Chicago during mid-Summer to mid-Fall of 2010 and to San Francisco from mid-Fall to mid-Winter, coming back to The High (in Atlanta) now.

Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) has been accepted into Festival of Light (festivaloflight.net) an international collaboration of more than 20 photography festivals taking place all over the globe.…
Amy Miller ACP's Executive Director states, "We are thrilled to become a part of Festival of Light. It is invigorating to have Atlanta's voice become part of a greater international dialogue of cooperation and photographic exploration. Presenting ACP to the members of Festival of Light for consideration was an honor. We look forward to collaborating with photo festivals from around the world, while working to increase Atlanta's visibility as an international center for photography."
